Are you willing to make a financial commitment to UUCE?

Unlike some other denominations, there is no "diocese" to help fund this church. As an independent congregation, we must support ourselves.
 

The church you are visiting and enjoying, the community strength and vitality of the ministry which you are discovering, are only possible by the treasure and time of the participating members and friends. 

UUCE depends almost solely on annual pledged contributions for its continued operations -- the lights and heat on, a minister, staff, services, enriching programs, outreach.  This ALL happens with the collected donations of all who are committed to this church. Other income, such as unpledged Sunday collections, defrays only a small portion of the cost of church expenses.

Who Pledges?

Members and friends, parents of children in RE, regularly attenders of church services, participants in social functions.  We all must understand the requirement to make an annual fair-share financial pledge, each according to ability. Also, church Bylaws require a financial commitment each year to maintain active voting membership. 

How much?

We do not require a specific level of giving; we ask you to view your annual pledge as investment in this community, its current operations and its future capabilities.

We recognize that pledged amounts will vary widely depending on individual circumstances, but we encourage everyone in our congregation to follow the UUA suggested "fair-share" annual giving (PDF) level of 2.5% to 8%. Our most generous members have attained a 10% tithing level for charitable giving.

We hope your level of contribution comes from a sense of generosity which reflects the importance of the UUCE community in YOUR life.

How do I Pledge?

First you can read the Giving Guide, linked in the list below.  It is very helpful to determine what is a fair share plede.  Then, find the pledge form also linked below.  Print and fill out, then send in to the church, with your donation check. You can donate in one payment, or each month. Call the church to use your VISA or MasterCard.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
