Dear Morning Doves -

I thought I had sent out a notice of birding tomorrow - sorry about  
that -

We are birding Fern Ridge - meet at the west end of Royal Avenue at 8  
AM.  If it is raining HARD we will not go.  If you have questions in  
the morning before 7:30 AM - call my home phone - 338-2959.

If you have questions after 7:30 AM I will have my cell phone turned  
on  335-1637.  Keep in mind that I do NOT get cell phone service at  
home, so if you get a recording, that means I am not yet on the road.

We will plan to eat at The Daily Bread in Veneta.

Tomorrow, June 10, we will return to Fern Ridge for our Tuesday  
birding.  Meet in the parking lot at the West end of Royal Avenue at 8  
AM.  We will walk out to the viewing platform and back.

Breakfast will be at The Daily Bread in Veneta.

If you need to reach me after 7:30 AM, call my cell phone - 335-1637.

Last week, in light rain, we found 39 species - an all time high for  
any of our walks.

Hi Judie,

Fern Ridge sounds good. And The Daily Bread is always good. Just a thought on that though--Veneta is about three or four miles in the opposite direction from Eugene. Or 8 miles round trip. So if there are 5 cars going, that is 40 extra miles. Not that big a deal, I guess. But I wonder if we should be considering someplace towards town?

Is the Pancake House on 11th any good? Any place else on the way in?

Just a thought.

Subject: [Birders] Next Bird Walk is July 15

Due to vacation schedules of various bird walk participants we are  
suspending our Tuesday birdwalks until July 15.  We just didn't want  
anyone to think they had been dropped from the list.

We had a great time at Fern Ridge this morning and observed 37  
species.  Breakfast was at Ye Olde Pancake House on west 11th - our  
first visit there and it got our hearty approval.

Watch for an announcement around July 10 of our next walk.
