Okay Morning Doves - we will give this another try - especially since  
Judy Newman has returned from traveling around the country and will  
have many wonderful birding experiences to share!

Tuesday we will return to Parking Lot #9 behind Autzen Stadium and  
meet at 8 AM for some birding.  We will plan to go to the 5th Street  
Market for coffee and goodies afterward, and hopefully Marche' will  
have more than one employee working.  The parking is ample and free  
and that's a big draw for me.

I will have my cell phone turned on after 7:30 AM and will plan to be  
at the parking lot a little before then.  If you need to find out  
where we are in the park or when we will be at 5th Street, feel free  
to call my cell at 335-1637.

Seems like it has been ages since we got together, so hope the weather  
cooperates tomorrow - they are predicting only "showers" and in the  
recent past that has meant full blown sunshine!

Hi Morning Doves -

On Tuesday, we will return to Parking Lot #9 behind Autzen Stadium and  
meet at 8 AM.  Our walk should take about an hour and a half and then  
we will wander over to the 5th Street Market food court for coffee and  
treats.

I will have my cell phone,  335-1637, turned on after 7:30 AM.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS -  the following Tuesday, January 22, we have been  
invited to a potluck breakfast at the home of Betts Silver.  She has  
been generously feeding birds on her deck all fall and winter and has  
a wonderful variety for us to observe and learn to identify without  
having to go outside - so we will be there RAIN OR SHINE!  Only that  
one week, we will meet at 9 AM.  Betts will supply coffee, juice, and  
hot water for tea.  You are asked to bring a brunch type dish to  
share.  Questions?  Let me know.....  Oh, and bring your binoculars!

Dear Morning Doves -

That Betts Silver - she is brilliant!  She somehow knew it was going  
to be extremely cold on Tuesday.  We are all invited to her house for  
a pitch in breakfast with the birds.  She has been feeding the birds  
for weeks and this will be an excellent opportunity to view them up  
close and personal and learn to identify feeder birds.  And all in the  
comfort of being inside with hot food and hot coffee.

Plan to be there at  9 AM - bring a breakfast style food to share.   
Oh, and bring your binoculars too.

Betts lives at 2409 Lincoln in Eugene.

I will be giving a gull tutorial and will have a new handout to help  
you sort out gull species.

There will be NO Tuesday birdwalk this week - not only is the footing  
unsure, but based on the weather forecast it doesn't sound like the  
Hansens will be going anywhere for the next couple of days.

My plan was to go to Delta Ponds, so we will plan on that next week.
