We were spared and Elleen and Louie were spared - it was Bill and  
Linda's McCleary who had a tree on their roof and two doors up on the  
corner on our side of the street who had the downed tree across the  
road.  The street crews were here at 1130 PM until about 1:30 AM  
running chain saws, using a back hoe and dropping large logs into a  
metal truck, so I had a bit of a time sleeping.  The darned wind  
blowing scared me a bunch and that didn't help sleeping either.  I  
wondered how you fared in terms of trees falling, etc.  I think our  
street has the tunnel effect.

I read tonight that the Governor has declared a state of emergency for  
the entire coast.  Have you been able to be in contact with Linda's  
family?  The SE Milwaukie area has a lot of flooding along Johnson  
Creek and nothing at the coast sounds good.
