items</title></head><body>
<div>You might be correct, but I should have given more information.
Three complications are: There's precious little space between
the door and the wall on the left, and the post supporting the door
hinges is part of, or attached to, a beam. I can't explain it
any better or visualize it perfectly, but do look at the particular
situation when you get a chance again. Also, it's not a
"simple swap-out," because the recessed hinges are a
different size than the old current ones.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Frankly, I'd like to get George to look at the installation at
Cindy's, since Cindy offered. I'd be happy to go look, but I
don't understand building and construction issues well enough to
benefit much. Best wishes, Ken</div>

<blockquote type="cite" cite>I think he is misinformed about the door
hinges. It should be a simple swap-out of the hinges, of course
that will only gain you an inch or two. Ideally, the changing
table up there could be moved and then a new, wider doorway
created, but that<u> would</u> be a major undertaking.<br>
