FIRST PASS DRAWINGS AND MODELS
of DESIGNS for our New Home

The architectural design drawings and photographs of the building model are presented here to give everyone an opportunity to review them prior to the Town Hall meeting on Sunday, June 13 at 2PM. These designs show how the project might appear when totally complete. Keep in mind this is estimated to be about a $3.5 million project. At this time we have approximately $1.2 million in pledges received, to be paid over the next three years. We will have only enough on hand when renovation begins to bring things up to code, improve acoustics, address HVAC and asbestos issues and then decide how to spend the money available. This project is expected to be done in at least two stages and probably more like three. There is no quick fix for making our new church home exactly how we want it to be. So think about this as you review this material.

On June 13, Architect Gary Moye will present material showing how the work might be staged with cost estimates for various elements. Do we provide first rate classrooms for our growing RE program or focus more on our sanctuary and office space? How much work can be done by unskilled or semi-skilled volunteers from our congregation? Do we want to focus on areas that can bring in the highest return in rentals? Your Building Project Oversight Committee wants to be as transparent as possible, so even though we don't have all the answers, we wanted you to get a preview of the materials.

The Town Hall meeting will be at our new property, 1685 West 13th at the corner of 13th and Chambers at 2PM. Childcare will be available, but we need to know how many children and what ages so we can plan accordingly.
