Dear Visiting Stewards:
Thank you for taking the time to meet with congregants and help our church raise funds for our annual budget and our new building!
Several questions arose at the four training sessions so wanted to send you a list of Frequently Asked Questions and answers. That document is attached. Please read it before conducting your visits and let us know if you have any questions.
In addition, the UUCE Board, in conjunction with the Nominating Committee and other church leaders, have recently requested that we inquire (very briefly) about the skills of those we visit, so that we can do a better job as a congregation with filling volunteer roles. The background of those folks you visit will likely be a subject discussed as you get to know the person(s) you are visiting, so it can come up as a natural part of your conversation. We suggest the following question for your use:
"Are there any skills or interests that you have that we could keep on record for possible volunteer work?"
The answer to this question can be reported on the feedback sheets included in your Visiting Steward folders.
Finally, if any of you are willing to make additional visits other than the four you have already agreed to do, please let us know. There's always more visiting to be done than there are folks willing to be visiting stewards. No pressure, just a request. :)
