PASTORAL EMERGENCIES
Pastoral Care is not a professional counseling or social work, but provides you a spiritual listener.
A Pastoral Emergency can mean:
You or someone in your immediate family has been rushed to a hospital, or has been a victim of violence. Or you are overwhelmed with despair for any reason. If such a situation arises, we want to be there for you without delay.
Rev. Alicia Forsey at 541-686-2775, or Rev. Bjorn Olson or Leora White Pastoral Associates Coordinator - phone numbers are in our Print Directory

Need help?
Committee on Congregational Ministry: This committee provides neutral listening, and support for members who are having conflicts with someone -- we can discuss how you wish to resolve the conflicts (we don't talk to them for you). Also, call to share concerns about issues you might have concerning the overall health of the church ministry. Maren Peterson-DeGroff, 541-513-3730, chair.
Care Committee: Temporary assistance to people who need help making meals, getting rides, need visitors, due to illness or other life crises. At this time we are looking for a new chair and more volunteers to fulfill these needs. Thank you.

Driving Directions

Find us on the northeast corner of 40th and Donald; you'll find the church is nestled in the trees.
Look on this map to the South-east Eugene area at 40th and Donald: 477 East 40th Ave.
If you take Willamette Street, which runs north and south through town. Turn onto 40th Avenue. (You can only turn to the east -- on the west side of Willamette is the cemetary). Drive down the hill past Safeway, and there is a stop sign at our intersection.
You can also take Hilyard Street south, all the way up the hill, until there is a guided right turn to the west onto 40th Avenue. Then drive just two blocks, and turn into our parking lot in the trees.
We have limited parking, and it is fine to park on the street, but not in the apartment complex parking lot!
Bus Directions
Bus #24 from the downtown Eugene Station leaves at :30 every hour beginning at 9:00am Sunday mornings and arrives at 40th and Donald streets, a half block from the church, ten minutes later. The first #73 on Sunday leaves from the downtown Eugene Station at 8:30am on Sunday. It stops at 40th and Donald going south, but does not come back up Donald. You can catch the #24 back north to the Eugene Station.
An "Honored citizen" free pass is now offered to people 69 years and older. At one time it was given just to those 80 years and older. A number of us use the bus regularly and we welcome others, especially in light of our 7th Principle and the desire to reduce consumption of fossil fuels.
U of O and LCC students ride free with school photo ID and sticker.
For other bus schedules, call LTD at 687-5555 (800-735-2900 TTY-Oregon Relay) or visit www.ltd.org
