I hear women say that they belong in the "Third Wave" or the "Second Wave" of the feminist movement, and I wonder what they know about the waves that came long before The Feminine Mystique in the 1960s. Earlier this month we looked at the lives of individual women who contributed mightily to the progress of equality for women in the Western world. This morning we will dive into the waves.
