OUR RELATION to UUA and to PNWD
RELATION TO UUA (Unitarian Universalist Association)
The UUA has a per-member dues structure from local congregations, both for its own support and for providing services to those congregations. The amount changes over time, but currently each congregation pays about $48 per year per member. At UUCE in 2003-2004, for example, this came to $12,720.00. The regional support organization is also supported with $20.00 per member, totalling $5300.00 per year. Together the total sent to UUA and PNWD per year for our level of membership is $18,020.00 .
The list of returned benefits includes but is not limited to:

about 1/2 of each Districts' staff and programs
building loans
training for interim and extension ministers
consulting for new congregation ministers
endless Social Justice programs
part of the salaries for UUA staffing
training for District consultants in Conflict Management

hosting for over 150 continental UU e-discussion lists and UU websites

RELATION TO PNWD (Pacific North West District)
The PNWD is the regional administrative branch of the UUA.
