LEADERSHIP

The Worship Associates Program is designed to give you the tools for planning, creating and leading Sunday worship. If you are an active church member, attend services regularly, and are interested in developing and enhancing your writing, public speaking, research and leadership skills, you are invited to take the training, which helps participants deepen their understanding of Unitarian Universalism and worship practice and theory.

As an Associate, you work closely with the minister, other lay leaders, and guest speakers to make a valuable contribution to the worship life of our congregation.

Associates design and lead our summer services and develop services through out the whole year. They meet regularly, every other month, to evaluate the total worship program and to hone their skills.

After the training you may join the Worship Associate’s team as an Associate—those folks you see up front on Sundays—or as a Worship Anchor—the behind-the-scenes folks who ”hold the room in place” and keep everything running smoothly on Sunday mornings.
