More info: The Chalice Lighter Program assists the growth of new and existing congregations in the Pacific Northwest District by providing grants. The amount of a grant depends on congregational needs and current Chalice Lighter participation. It is funded exclusively through contributions from Unitarian Universalists who participate as Chalice Lighters. |

The third Sunday Community Offering began in 2006 when the church leadership suggested a pilot program to contribute ALL funds received from a monthly offering to pre-selected non-profit, local community organizations. This charitable act not only supports our wider community, prompting goodwill in human relations, but also encourages generosity within individuals and within the church. To date, our community collections have averaged nearly $1350/month. The Community Offering Committee oversees the selection of the community agencies/organizations, makes contact with agency representatives, introduces representatives from the selected agency at the third Sunday service(s) and mails the check representing the churchs contribution to the selected agency. To choose recipients for the third Sunday Community Offering, the committee solicits input from church members and friends, draws upon personal experiences, considers Sunday service topics, seasonal celebrations and church traditions. See any one of us if you have a non-profit in mind. Rachel Cummings 541-485-7561 |

The CUUPS group provides ritual events for the UUCE congregation as a way to provide regular earth-based worship to its pagan members and as a way to offer non-pagan members opportunities to learn more about the sixth source of Unitarian Universalism. All members of the congregation -- pagan and non-pagan alike -- are invited to attend CUUPS events. |

Committee Members Needed All fundraising requests go first to the Fund Raising Committee, which considers the request and takes into account the calendaring. Then the committee will take the request to Executive Committee for final approval, unless it is a perfunctory fundraising request where the proceeds will go to the general fund. In this case, the committee has authority to approve the request. |
