Activities
The CUUPS group provides ritual events for the UUCE congregation as a way to provide regular earth-based worship to its pagan members and as a way to offer non-pagan members opportunities to learn more about the sixth source of Unitarian Universalism. All members of the congregation -- pagan and non-pagan alike -- are invited to attend CUUPS events. Those wishing to lead or help with ritual are encouraged to use the CUUPs e-mail list to organize and to sign up on the volunteer sheet in the church's Social Hall. Rituals usually begin at 6:30 PM. Full Moon rituals typically celebrate times of fruition and increased intuitive faculties. Solar festivals inspire us to observe and honor how we interact with the earth and the seasons.
CUUPS Email Listserv
The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPs) group has its own e-mail listserv. If you wish to join discussions of upcoming CUUPs events or review writings on neo-pagan theology, visit http://lists.uueugene.org/mailman/listinfo/cuups to subscribe.

The CUUPs Mission Is:
1. To hold regular Earth-centered rituals that celebrate the cycles of sun and moon, transform the mundane into the sacred, and provide numinous opportunities for communion with the divine within the environment of a safe congregation.
2. To give UUCE congregation members who seek to worship in Earth-centered traditions more opportunities to do so.
3. To provide non-pagan members of the UUCE congregation exposure to and participation in Earth-centered traditions.
4. To honor a balanced way of seeking spiritual growth within an Earth-based context by recognizing that personal, subjective experiences; astronomical, biological and physical processes; and expressions of art, science and craft are equally valid paths to communion with the divine.
5. To critique the works of pagan and neo-pagan authors; to review source works of neo-pagan ethics, practice, and theology; and to review other works that touch on neo-paganism.
6. To mobilize pagan members within UUCE in synergy with other UUCE groups. Examples include but are not limited to being presenters in the Religious Education and Adult Religious Education programs or working with the Green Sanctuary group on a ritulized clean-up.
7. To provide outreach to and dialog with the Eugene/Springfield pagan community.
